GyPSii provides real-time mobile web technologies and consumer applications designed to connect people. The company develops mobile social apps including Tweetsii, which bridges the Twitter experience with mobile social media, the social graph, location, and contextual mobile-based search. Initial availability for Tweetsii will be in the Apple App Store for iPhone, followed by Android and BlackBerry platforms. GyPSii said it will use proceeds from its latest financing to support marketing and additional development of its applications. The company closed an $11m private funding round led by U.K.-based Schroders, bringing total fundraising to $40m. GyPSii is based in Salo, Finland and Amsterdam, The Netherlands, and operates offices in North America, Europe and Asia Pacific.
