H.E.L. Group designs, develops and manufactures scientific instruments and software to optimize process scale-up, safety and productivity across a wide range of chemistry and biology R&D applications. Its products and automated solutions are used by customers in pharma, biotech, chemicals, energy and petrochemicals to solve complex R&D challenges. The company says it has worked with customers for over 30 years and described itself as operating from an "already strong and profitable base." Louise Madden has been appointed CEO, joining from Applied Photophysics, bringing leadership experience in analytical instruments and commercial operations. H.E.L. plans to invest in product innovation, software platforms, and to bolster post-sales service and technical support teams. The company will carry out process and infrastructure improvements, invest in staff development, and accelerate sales expansion into high-growth markets including the US, China and India.
