Founded in 2021 in Suzhou by cardiovascular surgeon-scientist Dr. Qiu Xuefeng, Haimai Medical is building a tissue-engineering and regenerative medicine platform that preserves and optimizes the natural extracellular matrix to create “living” vascular grafts. Its two proprietary product lines are LineMatrix (a biological artificial graft) and CoroMatrix (a tissue-engineered graft), both positioned as the first of their kind in China. LineMatrix is the lead program and has already entered a multi-center registration clinical trial and the NMPA special review channel, with European clinical studies slated to begin next. Clinical data show a 100 % six-month cumulative patency rate versus <50 % for conventional ePTFE grafts. In 2024 the company commissioned a 2,243 m² C+-class GMP facility capable of producing more than 30,000 grafts annually. Over the past three years Haimai Medical has completed five funding rounds, enabling continued R&D and pipeline expansion toward broad cardiovascular applications.
