Halo Diagnostics combines multiple diagnostic data streams (imaging, genetic urine tests and other modalities) with enterprise-grade software to improve accuracy and access to advanced diagnostics. The company buys and operates imaging and testing centers itself to provide the necessary facilities and workflows — four centers have been acquired so far. Initial clinical targets are prostate and breast cancer, with the company exploring applications for dementia, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s and other neurodegenerative diseases. To support that strategy Halo Dx raised a $19 million Series A and took out an eight-figure line of credit to acquire facilities and scale operations. Leadership cited includes co-founder and chief product officer Brian Axe and chief medical officer Dr. John Feller. The approach aims to solve fragmented medical data and workflow problems by integrating intake, imaging, storage and testing, while taking on substantial near-term financial obligations to accelerate adoption.
