HALO Networks is a London, UK-based mobile data user experience platform provider offering a 3G-to-Wi-Fi offload experience for smartphone and tablet users. The company was founded in 2011 by founder and CEO David Thompson. HALO addresses mobile data network congestion caused by high demand for 3G capacity driven by mobile video, web content and applications. It is currently working with mobile operators, video distributors and app developers. The company closed a £1.6m Series A financing led by Nauta Capital and DN Capital, with Nauta investing from its €105m Nauta Tech Invest III fund and DN Capital investing from its second fund, GVCII.
