Hana Network is developing ‘Hypercasual Finance’ that emphasizes user-driven distribution through existing social networks, mixing blockchain P2P transactions and communication to simplify onboarding for newcomers. The team launched Hana Gateway, a trustless on/off ramp, in January 2024 and is leveraging insights from that product to inform its core offering. Mainnet is planned in four major phases; the company has completed Mainnet Phase 1 with the hyper-casual card Lego game Hanafuda, where users can earn rewards while playing. Product features highlighted include seamless social-media onboarding, attention incentives, social tipping, and P2P funding to create new social network effects and open doors for the unbanked. Hana Network raised $4 million in a builder round to support development and rollout of further experiences across Phases 2–4. The company was founded last year by Kohei Hanasaka and is focused on turning crypto into an accessible, social experience for newcomers.
