Hands Off produces plant-based chocolate formulated to emulate the taste and creaminess of milk chocolate by using sunflower seed powder and hazelnut praline after phasing out milk in 2023. The company emphasizes lower environmental impact, citing CarbonCloud research that its bars produce on average 52% less CO2 than milk chocolate. Hands Off sells products at retail prices typically between €3–€4 per bar and reports placement in over eight of every ten Dutch supermarkets, including Albert Heijn, Jumbo, PLUS and Picnic. Last year the company generated €3 million in revenue, is not yet profitable, and aims to reach profitability in 2026. Management targets €10 million in annual revenue by 2028. The fundraising proceeds will be used to expand the product assortment, deepen distribution in the Netherlands, and pursue further sustainability improvements.
