Happypillar builds a digital therapeutic app that listens to parent-child playtime conversations and gives real-time, personalized feedback using machine learning and licensed clinical play therapists. The app requires about five minutes a day and is designed to teach parents how to interact with young children to improve behavior and reduce caregiver frustration. Founded in February 2022 and Austin-based, Happypillar launched its app last summer and is currently in beta testing. It operates a subscription model priced at $99 per year or $20 per month and aims to provide low-cost mental health support to parents. The company has three full-time employees and won Best App in the 2022 National Parenting Product Awards. Happypillar plans a wide marketplace release before the end of the year and is working to raise a seed-stage round to scale.
