Harbr builds a secure platform to enable enterprises to exchange and share large data troves, turning assets in data lakes and warehouses into accessible, governed data products. The platform supports creation of clean rooms, tools for third‑party access, and the potential to run data marketplaces. Harbr emphasizes privacy and data protection as core design principles alongside usability and commercialisation. The company has worked directly with large enterprises while in stealth and counts customers such as Moody’s Analytics, WinterCorp and government clients, with nearly 100% of its clients in the U.S. Founded in 2017, Harbr emerged from stealth in May and publicly launched roughly six months before this round. It plans to use the new capital to hire more staff to meet enterprise demand and to invest in R&D. Harbr offers a platform designed to help organizations share, collaborate on, and package data into versions optimized for specific use cases. The product targets large data vendors, enabling them to move from sending raw data to selling services, models, or insights. The platform can ingest and combine external data sources as well as in-system data to create more tailored customer offerings. Harbr launched in London in 2017, has since opened offices in the United States, and currently employs about 30 people across the two locations. The company emerged from stealth and has raised $6.5 million in seed capital led by Boldstart Ventures. Co-founder Anthony Cosgrove, who has more than 15 years of experience working with data, is driving product direction and go-to-market focus on data monetization.
