Pavia Systems was founded in 2005 and is based in Seattle. Pavia Systems develops HeadLight, a mobile application suite that replaces paper-and-pen inspection workflows for transportation agencies, contractors and equipment manufacturers. The company spun out of the University of Washington in 2005 and originally sold online training before pivoting to on-the-job tools. HeadLight enables field crews to submit daily reports with photos and video, speed data collection, and provide real-time project updates. Pavia recently signed a key deal with the Washington State Department of Transportation for projects including the SR-520 Floating Bridge and the Alaskan Way Viaduct tunnel. The company employs nine people and will use new funding to grow its team and expand nationwide. Co-founders include George White, Si Katara, Joe Mahoney, and Steven Muench.
