Overview

Your.MD is a London-based creator of the medical-grade, augmented intelligence self-care app Healthily. Founded in 2015 and led by CEO Matteo Berlucchi, the company combines augmented intelligence with medically validated information to deliver personalized health tools and support. Healthily gives individuals relevant health resources to enable self-care when appropriate, all in one place. In September the company introduced its first co-branded app in India with Dettol to help consumers take control of their health. The company raised $30m in Series A funding from Reckitt Benckiser. The investment will enable expansion across markets including the UK, India and the US. Your.MD operates an AI-driven “pre-primary care” service delivered through a conversational bot and available on web, iOS, Android, Facebook Messenger, Skype, Slack and Telegram. The product combines a symptom‑drilling chatbot with a next‑generation search engine that surfaces detailed, verified information on medical conditions. The company has also built the OneStop Health platform, a marketplace of trusted health service providers and products, with commercial partnerships (examples include Push Doctor and Urban Massage). There are currently 35 international and local digital health businesses on the OneStop platform, and the company plans to grow this to over 100 by the end of the year. OneStop is central to the company’s monetization strategy for what is otherwise a free information service. To date, Your.MD has 2.1 million downloads and reports nearly a million monthly active users, with a reported user base that is 67% male and 33% female. Your.MD offers a smartphone ‘smart health assistant’ that uses AI and machine learning plus licensed NHS data to give users information about conditions, likely causes and recommended next steps, including when to see a doctor. The app is positioned as an alternative to services such as NHS 111 and competitors like Symptomate, WebMD and Google Doctor. CEO Matteo Berlucchi says the product aims to act as a first-line, scalable alternative to waiting for doctor appointments by training AI to ask clinician-like questions and continuously learn from symptom patterns. The company says the system improves by correlating user symptoms and location data (for example, detecting local flu patterns). The app is free to users today, and the startup is eyeing value-added services such as the option to talk to a doctor, access more specialized information, and book tests. The company is London-based and emphasizes scalability through automation rather than relying on scarce clinical resources.
