HealthKart is an omni-channel nutrition platform that sells protein supplements and health accessories. The 13-year-old company spun out of online pharmacy startup 1MG and is based in Gurugram. It reported revenue of $118.5 million for the year ending March 2024 and was EBITDA profitable in that financial year. The startup is widely regarded as India’s largest consumer nutrition platform. Management and new investors point to an underpenetrated Indian sports nutrition market and rising fitness awareness as drivers for future expansion. The company is also buying back $6.5 million of shares from employees as part of the broader transaction activity. HealthKart is an 11-year-old, Gurgaon-headquartered omni-channel nutrition retailer that sells protein supplements and health accessories. The company operates over 140 stores across 50 Indian cities alongside its online presence. HealthKart is on track to generate over $122 million in annual revenue. Leadership highlights the firm's R&D capabilities and omni-channel distribution infrastructure as core strengths. The company said it will deploy new funds to expand its offline presence, scale operations in international markets, and to shore up cash for acquisitions. In 2015 1MG spun off from HealthKart and Tata Digital acquired majority stakes in 1MG last year at a valuation of over $400 million. Healthkart is an India-based online vendor of health and wellness products. Its core offering is an e-commerce platform selling health products. The company will use the new capital to support marketing initiatives. It also plans to use funds for offline expansion. The funding for these plans comes from an INR800 million Series E led by Sequoia Capital with participation from Omidyar Network and Kae Capital.
