HealthyOut operates an iPhone and Android app that identifies healthy menu items and has launched a personalized delivery service that schedules meals for users. The delivery offering, launching in New York City, provides healthy options twice a day, five days a week, and sends a weekly menu plus text reminders. Users can set dietary preferences from about a dozen diet types (low carb, Paleo, vegan, etc.), cuisine and price ranges; HealthyOut auto-schedules meals and automatically charges for food, delivery, tip, and a $28/month subscription fee for managing orders. The service was built on dish-level menu data the company collected through its app, and HealthyOut works directly with restaurants and a third-party delivery/payment provider. The team plans to expand the delivery service to other cities and suburban markets, potentially using a mix of takeout and delivery. The company said it was on track to reach a million downloads and was part of the Blueprint Health incubator.
