Hedgehog Markets is a decentralized prediction markets platform built on the Solana blockchain that lets users trade on their beliefs and earn yield. Trades are executed instantly via smart contracts and users retain custody of their funds; market topics include politics, economics, and DeFi. The platform launched a closed beta in April and recorded over 6,000 user registrations and is currently operating on devnet/open beta. Hedgehog raised $3.5M in seed funding and also received a grant from the Solana Foundation. The company will use the funds to propel its mainnet launch, hire additional key talent, and continue reaching development milestones, targeting Solana mainnet before Q4 2021. Hedgehog was founded by George Yu and was built alongside e^{i} Ventures; the team positions the product as the first prediction markets platform to launch on Solana mainnet.
