Heist Studios is a London-based fashion start-up that designs and sells 'invisible' tights with a single seam at the base of the foot and a high thread count (5,000). The product is 3D knitted and heavily influenced by Italian sportswear; the company iterated with 67 women and 196 samples before launch. Launched in late 2015, Heist has sold over 100,000 pairs and reports growth of 25% month-on-month. Its products are currently available in 35 countries. Management says the funds will be used to increase recruitment and expand the brand's international footprint. Longer-term, the company plans to broaden beyond tights to modernize other underwear garments and build an underwear brand for the modern woman.
