Helixx developed Daisy (Helixx Cargo), a 3D-printed prototype light delivery van that uses swappable LFP battery modules (2 kWh each, 25 lb, up to six modules) and fits Europe’s L7E category (max ~55 mph, <1,200 lb). The company plans pop-up, modular “factory in a box” sites that can go from greenfield to production in as few as 180 days and aims to franchise the model to partners adjacent to dense cities. Its multi-tiered revenue model centers on licensing the platform (Peggs cites something like a $50M license), selling components, charging a monthly service fee of roughly $80 per vehicle produced, and collecting a $500 royalty on every vehicle put into service; it also plans subscription access for drivers. Helixx intends to use supply-chain services (partly built on Siemens Xcelerator) to source roughly 20% polymer parts, 45% locally cast metal components, 20% regional electronics suppliers, and 15% single-source certified parts. The company sees markets in dense cities such as Jakarta and Bangkok and targets very high utilization (Peggs cites a 95% utilization goal) for commercial drivers. Helixx was co-founded in 2022 by CEO Steve Pegg, who previously led lightweight vehicle development at Arrival.
