HelloMD is an online community for medical cannabis patients that connects patients, doctors, retailers and brands. Led by CEO Mark Hadfield and based in San Francisco, the site offers patient-generated Q&A, articles, videos and other content. Since launching service in California two years ago, HelloMD has built an extensive proprietary library of patient-generated medical information. Over 400 business partners, including retailers and cannabis brands, have partnered with the site to make information available to customers. Financially, HelloMD received $200k from SeedInvest’s 'Selections Fund' and has raised $1M from 596 investors via a still-open SeedInvest equity crowdfunding campaign. The company plans to use the proceeds to expand service offerings across all 30 cannabis-legal states and internationally.
