Helloprint is an e-commerce company based in Rotterdam, The Netherlands, led by CEO and Founder Hans Scheffer. Its core product is an online platform that sells print and handles print jobs for customers ranging from shops and graphic designers to large companies and consumers. The funds were provided by Bregal Unternehmerkapital and Project A via their portfolio company Onlineprinters. Helloprint operates a DIY online printing platform that sources the best deal from third-party printing shops rather than owning its own facilities. The service is aimed at small businesses and is active in the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Spain and the UK. The company currently employs 100 people and plans to grow to 150 employees and enter 13 markets by the end of the year. Previously bootstrapped, Helloprint has now completed its first external funding round of €3 million. The new capital will be used to expand the team and extend services to additional countries. Management positions the company as a viable challenger to incumbents such as Vistaprint as it pursues international growth.
