1500 1st Avenue North, Birmingham, Alabama, 35203, United States
Overview
Help Lightning provides a remote visual assistance platform that uses augmented reality and a patented merged reality feature to virtually place an expert on a video call for real-time collaboration. The merged reality capability merges two video streams and supports 3D annotation so an expert can use hand gestures, bring in tools, parts or instructions, and effectively ‘reach out and touch’ what the remote user is working on. Led by CEO Gary York, the company serves enterprise and Fortune 500 customers including Cox Communications, Ricoh, Siemens Healthineers and BUNN. This year the company announced partnerships with Genesys and Zebra Technologies. Help Lightning said it will use new funding to continue investing in remote visual support and to further accelerate its product roadmap. The article did not disclose revenue or user metrics. Help Lightning provides virtual expertise software that lets equipment experts virtually collaborate with onsite technicians using existing mobile devices, simulating side-by-side work. Led by CEO Gary York, the product is aimed at improving field service productivity and call center first-time fix rates. The software is designed to extend workforce capacity and improve customer satisfaction across a range of industries. Today hundreds of field service organizations and call centers use Help Lightning, including Cox Communications, Ricoh USA, and Siemens Healthineers. The company plans to use new funding to scale the business and accelerate enterprise virtual expertise innovations.
