Hexadite

101 Federal St, Boston, MA, 02110, United States

Overview

Hexadite builds software that automates cyber threat detection, triage, and remediation, identifying whether alerts are real threats or false positives. Its product automates remediation workflows and adds investigation logic to reduce noise for security teams facing high volumes of alerts. The company currently has about 20 employees and roughly a dozen customers across multiple verticals. Hexadite plans to use the Series A proceeds to enrich product investigation logic, expand engineering talent in its R&D team in Israel, and grow sales and marketing. Management expects to double headcount by year-end, increase its US sales team from about five to ten, and open a UK sales office. The CEO says the $8M round should fund operations for about 18–24 months and that Hewlett Packard Ventures' involvement provides validation and potential access to HPE's sales and marketing resources. Hexadite was launched by three former Israeli intelligence officials and is led by CEO Eran Barak. The company has developed the Automated Incident Response Solution (AIRS) to sit on top of third-party detection systems, determine alert veracity, and eradicate confirmed attacks. Hexadite intends to automate the monitoring and understanding of cyber threats and to remove the human element from incident verification and response. The company says AIRS would have detected and eradicated the breach that hit Target before it caused damage. Hexadite is working with several large beta enterprise customers and plans to use its seed capital to expand the business. The company announced $2.5 million in seed funding to support those efforts.
