Higher Logic provides a cloud-based community platform that helps nonprofits create online communities to increase value and relevance for members, customers and partners. Led by CEO Rob Wenger and president and co-founder Andy Steggles, the platform handles over 25 million engaged members in more than 200,000 communities. The company closed a $55M investment from JMI Equity. In conjunction with the deal, JMI general partner Bob Nye joined Higher Logic’s board of directors. Higher Logic said it will use the funds for research and development, strategic services, sales, marketing and business development.
