Hofmann & Stirner Zuführsysteme provides a digitally optimized feeding system known as the ROTU. The company combines hardware and specialized software modules to create a digital twin representing relevant physical aspects of each feeding system. That digital twin and a growing database are used to train deep neural networks that first help engineers choose a suitable feeding system and then enable automated design. Founded by Daniel Hofmann and Florian Stirner in May 2016, the company is based in Munich, Germany. Hofmann & Stirner raised nearly €1m in funding from HTGF and a business angel. The company will use the funds to continue development of the system.
