Hologram Labs
1608 S. Ashland Ave 25937, Chicago, IL, 60608, United States
Overview
Hologram Labs offers a desktop Chrome-extension that uses machine-learning models to turn still NFT avatars into motion-tracked characters that mirror a user’s facial movements in real time. The company’s browser-deployed model is trained on publicly available data and feeds face-tracking points into animated avatars during video calls. Founders Tong Pow (formerly of 0x Labs) and Hongzi Mao (a computer science Ph.D. from MIT) launched the product and are expanding features such as hand tracking and a mobile application. Hologram also plans to apply its technology to creating short- and long-form videos and to consumer-facing experiences like virtual branded clothing for avatars. The startup is currently NFT-focused and targets the Western NFT market while noting potential opportunities in China. It is already generating revenue by helping over ten NFT collections, including Cool Cats, Deadfellaz, and Crypto Covens, transform characters into dynamic avatars.
