Holy Grail is developing compact, modular direct air carbon capture devices ("scrubbers") that can be stacked or configured to customer needs. The company is pursuing a different technical approach that uses electricity to control a chemical reaction that binds CO2 rather than relying on large-scale temperature or pressure systems. Devices are intended for raw CO2 capture (not conversion) and the company plans to sell carbon credits using its units as the carbon-reduction project.
