Honcho builds governance software that sits on each desktop, alerting users as they type when word choices could be interpreted as inappropriate or risky and allowing corrections before messages are sent. The platform includes a management dashboard that tracks and scores each alert using context from communications before and after an alert. Led by founder and CEO Anish Parikh, the company serves three of the world’s 20 largest companies and four of the world’s top 10 commodities trading firms. Honcho closed a $4M Series A to expand operations and broaden its business reach. The company plans to extend its capabilities to mobile messaging platforms such as WhatsApp, WeChat and iMessage, with an eventual move into mobile itself. The funds will support those product expansions and operational growth.
