Honest Burgers operates more than 40 casual dining sites across the UK and was founded in 2011 by Tom Barton and Phillip Eeles. The group’s core product is premium burgers, including a recent 'smashed burger' launch. It plans to expand into the quick-service restaurant (QSR) space and intends to open its first QSR site in London early next year. The company says the QSR format is built for speed, convenience, and value for money and aims to challenge larger competitors in the premium quick-service burger market. Raised funds will be used to build Honest Burgers’ presence in regional UK cities and in London and to launch the QSR restaurant format. Honest Burgers is forecast to deliver a turnover of £55m and £4m EBITDA this year.
