honestbee is an on-demand grocery concierge and delivery service that lets customers order from supermarkets and specialty stores and receive deliveries within the next hour. The company partners with retailers including NTUC FairPrice, Pet Lovers Center, Gastronomia Da Paolo, MMMM!, The Butcher’s Dog, Crystal Wines, GNC and Four Seasons Organic to broaden product selection. honestbee uses a crowdsourced workforce of concierge shoppers and a delivery team to fulfill orders without building warehousing infrastructure. The company has grown its team to almost 100 people in eight months and recently launched in Hong Kong. honestbee plans aggressive expansion across Asia and expects to be in at least six other Tier 1 cities by June 2016. It also pursues a social mission to create flexible job opportunities and provide skill upgrading and training for its workforce.
