Overview
Hopeum is a decentralized-finance project creating a mobile application aimed at the roughly 350 million unbanked adults in sub-Saharan Africa. The platform weaves together three product pillars—provably-fair GameFi titles, DeFi financial services (micro-loans and on-chain ROSCA-style group savings), and revenue-generating real-world-asset (RWA) tokenization—into a single user experience. Its first RWA focus is on poultry-farm operations in Ghana, allowing users to buy fractional stakes and share in off-chain profits. The ecosystem is powered by the HOPE utility token (re-ticked from HPM) that launched in a Q1 2026 TGE, with staking yields of up to 15 % APY and a buy-back-and-burn mechanism funded by 5 % of GameFi revenue and 30 % of farm profits. Built on a multi-chain architecture (initially BNB Smart Chain and Celo), the app integrates services such as CoinRabbit for crypto-collateralized lending and supports non-custodial wallets. As of early 2026—before full public launch—the project reported 6,000 users testing the platform and a community of more than 15,500 members. A 2025-2028 roadmap, smart-contract suite and five-year tokenomics model have already been completed, positioning Hopeum for phased geographic expansion starting in Ghana.
