HOPR provides tools and a protocol framework for the Web3 ecosystem that give users control over their privacy, data, and identity. Its protocol delivers network-level and metadata privacy and introduces the first open incentivized mixnet where anyone can earn tokens by staking and running nodes. The project was founded by Sebastian Bürgel and Rik Krieger and launched in May. HOPR has a token sale planned and intends to use new capital to continue technology development and expand the team. The company closed a $1 million seed round led by Binance Labs to support these efforts. Other participants in the round include Focus Labs, Spark Digital Capital, and Caballeros Capital.
