Overview
Hopstem's lead candidate, hNPC01, is an iPSC-derived forebrain neural progenitor cell injection positioned as a first-in-class neural cell therapy. The program reported positive Phase I clinical results in chronic ischemic stroke and has since received RMAT and Fast Track designations from the FDA. The FDA also approved two additional INDs and Fast Track status for chronic motor dysfunction due to hemorrhagic stroke and traumatic brain injury. Hopstem plans to advance hNPC01 into additional clinical indications and to scale toward commercial manufacturing. Dr. Jing Fan serves as CEO and Founder and framed the recent regulatory milestones as validation of the company’s strategic focus on serious neurological diseases. The company secured new and returning investors in the first closing of its Series C to support these development and manufacturing plans.
