Horizn makes hardshell “smart” suitcases — with a removable power bank — and also sells laptop bags, toiletry bags and passport covers. Its suitcases start at €270 and the company has sold a six-figure number of units to date. Founded in 2015 and employing about 70 people, Horizn is based in Berlin. The company raised €10 million in the latest funding round, bringing total capital raised to €25 million. Horizn plans to use the funding to launch a digital travel assistant, Horizn Go, which would book travel and accommodation for users.
