Overview

Hospals, operated by Curestay Services Pvt Ltd, is a healthcare platform that uses data to match patients with surgeons and cosmetic clinics based on location, treatment and budget. The company supports medical and cosmetic treatments and provides teleconsults, local counselling and cross‑border support through its network of over 400 Hospals health consultants across 30 countries. Hospals says it has served over 22,000 patients from 38 countries and works with more than a hundred hospitals in its network. The startup plans to deploy the fresh funds to reach $900 million in gross merchandise value (GMV) and serve 1.5 million subscribers and patients worldwide. It is expanding services around accommodation, remittances and medicine delivery and intends to launch fintech offerings such as medical loans and crowdfunding to help patients finance treatments beyond insurance coverage. Founders Danish Ahmed, Obaidullah Junaid and Suneel Kapur bring prior healthcare and e‑commerce experience to the business. Hospals operates a marketplace platform that enables medical tourists to select hospitals, book consultations and surgeries, buy medicines, and manage travel and accommodation such as cabs, hotels and flights. The platform also offers auxiliary services including procedure estimates, visa assistance and translators to deliver a seamless, multilingual experience. The company says it has served over 6,000 patients from 14 countries and is currently managing over 200 patients per month. Hospals was incubated at Technology9labs and is led by CEO Danish Ahmed alongside co-founders Obaid and Alok, who bring prior leadership experience at Al-Shifa, Apollo Hospitals and Fortis. The team combines product and user-experience expertise with deep medical-tourism operational experience. Hospals plans to use the new funding to accelerate growth toward $10 million GMV by year-end and to expand its presence across India and into international markets such as the Middle East and Africa.
