Hot Drops is a Los Angeles-based adult NFT marketplace that enables creators and fans to connect through exclusive, limited-edition digital collectibles, community and loyalty rewards. Founded by Ashley Youdan, the platform collaborates with influencers, artists, clothing brands, high-fashion photographers and directors to bridge mainstream and adult content and bring collections with utility and value. The company raised $2.4M in Seed funding to accelerate growth, expand operations and broaden its business reach. Lead investors and advisors include Transform Ventures founder Michael Terpin and David Jensen, with additional investors and advisors from PlayStation, Playboy and Hollywood. Hot Drops plans to implement privacy, anti-piracy, authentication, community-building features and flexible fiat and major-cryptocurrency payment options to tap historically unbanked regions in the coming weeks. Later this year it will launch a two-sided marketplace to buy, sell and rent creator content, monetize brands and enable creators to earn royalties on their content after retirement; its first 12 creators (the “Dirty Dozen”) have a combined social reach of more than 30 million followers.
