Hotmart operates an all-in-one, cloud-based digital enablement platform that integrates tools creators need to build, run, manage, and grow online businesses. The company powers transactions of digital products and services to millions of consumers across more than 185 countries and has active creators in over 100 countries. In 2020 Hotmart entered a business combination with Teachable, and the combined gross merchandise value (GMV) on the platform more than doubled year-over-year. Hotmart reports roughly 1,300 employees and 12 offices including locations in the Netherlands, U.S., Brazil, Spain, Mexico, Colombia and France. Management says proceeds from the recent financing will fund product innovation and international expansion, both organically and via mergers and acquisitions. The company continues to build on previously secured unicorn status as it scales globally.
