Housecar is a Swedish-founded camper-sharing platform that enables owners to rent out campers through its marketplace. The company expanded recently, launching its platform in Norway a few weeks before the press release. Housecar had a strong 2020 and began 2021 well; bookings were reported to be close to last year’s levels. The company entered a strategic partnership with Swiss MyCamper, which invested CHF550,000 and will contribute its Swedish fleet. Housecar is expected to benefit from MyCamper’s operational know-how during a planned scale-up phase as the partners aim to become the largest camper-sharing service in the Nordic countries. Management highlighted the advantage of combining a local Swedish founding team with MyCamper’s operational experience to accelerate growth across Scandinavia.
