Hover is a Los Altos, California–based developer of advanced computer vision and 3D mapping technology. It leverages crowdsourced imagery to create and continually update 3D maps. The company currently provides its 3D technology to military, homeland security and emergency response markets. Hover raised $3.1M in seed funding from institutional and angel backers. The firm plans to use the capital to expand its technical team and to enter commercial and consumer markets.
