Howdy has developed a customizable chatbot application that runs automated tasks for teams on Slack, with features like collecting and archiving status updates and even simple uses such as gathering lunch orders. The product is positioned as a time-saver to reduce meeting catch-ups and help teams focus on decision-making. Howdy is still in beta and co-founder Ben Brown says the company will eventually charge customers on a monthly basis, though details and timing are not yet set.
