Overview
HT Materials Science develops MAXWELL, a water- and glycol-based heat transfer fluid additive. MAXWELL is an engineered suspension of aluminum oxide nanoparticles that increases heat transfer efficiency of commercial and industrial HVAC systems by circa 15%. The company was formed after CEO Thomas Grizzetti and partners connected with a European engineering team commercializing nanomaterials. HTMS has surpassed $2 million in total revenues with over 20 active client sites and completed pilots with Aramco, Tabreed (Engie) and Amazon, including installations at three Amazon UK fulfillment centers. The company is testing new raw material inputs including graphene to provide a more effective and less expensive product. HTMS has raised over $30 million in funding from investors including Aramco Ventures, EcoLab, Barclay Sustainable Impact Capital and CDP Ventures and targets a TAM of $100+ billion with a goal of capturing roughly 1%.
