Huddlestock is a London- and Oslo-based fintech developing a patented crowd-trading platform. The platform is currently in beta and lets users tap into investment ideas and strategies usually available only to professional investment managers. The company plans to use the funding to continue developing the platform. Huddlestock raised $1.5m in seed funding in a performance-based round that injected 50% of the funds upfront, with the remainder to be invested within 10 months if milestones tied to a target share price are met. Backers include unnamed Norwegian family offices and private investors, and the round valued the company at over $13m. The company is led by CEO Murshid M. Ali, CTO Nick Gains, CIO Michel Van Tol, PhD, and Chairman Øyvind Hovland, and is a member of Level39 and Innovate Finance.
