Human Archive captures first-person (egocentric) RGB-D video along with synchronized tactile, force, full-body motion-capture, wrist and chest camera data from workers in home services, restaurants and hostels. The company has deployed more than 1,000 active headsets and over 50 different devices, and reports more than seven custom hardware products used across modalities. It pays participating workers a base rate of $1 per hour and offers consumers the option of discounted services in exchange for consented data collection. Human Archive is developing ways to fine-tune AI models on its dataset and to test those models on robots to demonstrate data quality to customers. The startup is expanding operations from India into Southeast Asia and the U.S., and is building a platform to broaden participation in data collection and create new service pilots.
