Humanloop builds a suite of tools intended to make it significantly easier for companies to adopt modern NLP by helping humans "teach" AI algorithms. Humanloop says its applications include building a picture of a national real‑estate market from unstructured web data, reading electronic health records to identify therapy candidates, and moderating comments on Facebook groups. The company emphasizes probabilistic deep learning so models can identify what they don’t know and ask humans for help. Humanloop positions itself as less focused on developing base language models and more on tools to adapt those models to specific use cases. It recently pulled in a $2.6 million seed funding round led by Index Ventures.
