The recent funding is presented as part of the company’s growth plan to scale its circular-IT marketplace and impact. Humble Sustainability is a Manila-based circular economy startup that prevents excess and returned inventory from ending up in landfills by reselling goods or selling bulk inventory to B2B recyclers and resellers. Since launch it has processed more than 150,000 items, including clothing, consumer electronics and household appliances, and has worked with 20 companies. The company operates a Shopee storefront called Thrift for consumer resale and a B2B channel where clients can monitor item status and receive proceeds. Humble plans to expand its network of partners and buyers, grow its team (including hiring department heads), bring tech development fully in-house and automate parts of quality control. It also intends to build long-term initiatives such as a carbon footprint tracker and to launch a live B2B dashboard so clients can track revenue, inventory and environmental impact in real time. Humble was founded in 2021 by CEO Josef Werker and COO Niña Opida and will use the new funding to support these initiatives.
