Humelo develops AI-based voice synthesis solutions and offers a TTS product called Prosody. Prosody can generate voice-read sentences from a short sample audio recording and reproduces humanlike variation in intonation, tone, speed and emotion. The technology supports multilingual conversion—converting Korean recordings into English, Chinese and Japanese and vice versa—and can isolate a single voice from audiovisual files and replace it with a different voice. Humelo is engaged in collaborations with top-tier Korean companies such as KT and SM Entertainment that leverage its AI voice-synthesis technologies. The company raised US$2.6M in a pre-Series A round and plans to use the funds for hiring and developing new services such as multilingual dubbing and voice-creation features. Led by CEO Lee Ja-ryong, Humelo is positioning its Prosody platform as an alternative to human voice actors for expressive and contextualized speech.
