HYCOR Biomedical develops automated allergy diagnostics centered on its NOVEOS system, an FDA‑approved instrument that runs multiplexed allergy assays from patient blood samples. The NOVEOS requires less blood than legacy systems and automates testing, which HYCOR says speeds throughput and is helpful for pediatric patients. The company redeveloped more than 800 individual assays for the platform after redesigning its product line beginning in 2011; its legacy HYTEC 288 was previously profitable. HYCOR has shifted some distribution activity during the pandemic to assist with COVID‑19 PCR kit distribution for NaGene Diagnosis.
