HydRegen is an Oxford, UK–based biotech company pioneering a novel biotechnology to enable sustainable chemical production. Its core technology aims to replace toxic metal catalysts, reducing the environmental impact of chemical manufacturing and the pharmaceutical industry. The company is led by Dr Holly Reeve (CEO) and Dr Sarah Cleary (Chief Scientific Officer). In April 2023 HydRegen raised £2.6M in funding led by Clean Growth Fund, and it previously received £385k from the UK Innovation & Science Seed Fund (UKI2S) alongside private investors in March 2022. The company intends to use the recent funds for commercial development and deployment of its technologies over the next 18 months. It also plans to expand its team over the next 12 months.
