Hydrosonics
701 Spur Street Northeast, Albuquerque, New Mexico, 87102, United States
Overview
Hydrosonics is commercializing a novel electrolyzer architecture spun out of Los Alamos National Laboratory under Dr. Luis Chavez. The company uses proprietary external stimulation to control electrode chemistry, aiming to halve the capital required for alkaline electrolyzers while increasing efficiency and enabling direct integration with renewable energy. Hydrosonics has proven the technology at the bench and is now scaling up demonstrations to enable small-scale, on-site hydrogen production fully integrated with renewable electricity. The team was incubated at Roadrunner Venture Studios and is positioning the product toward broad deployment in the hydrogen economy. Financially, the company has completed early funding milestones to advance scale-up and will pursue a full Seed round later this year. The company’s stated mission is to create the world’s cheapest clean hydrogen.
