Hygea Holdings is a diversified healthcare holding company that owns and operates integrated medical group practices, ancillary services (pharmacy, physical therapy, diagnostics), and the Palm Medical Group IPA of more than 1,700 physicians. Its model emphasizes concierge-level, preventive primary care and applying best practices to reduce inefficiencies and improve outcomes for commercial, Medicare, and Medicaid patients. Hygea will use incoming capital to accelerate growth through acquisition of physician practices, IPAs outside Florida, and other strategic healthcare organizations that support integrated care delivery. The partnership with a specialty pharmacy group is intended to provide pharmacy and laboratory services within a Stark-compliant infrastructure. As disclosed, Hygea received a $2.0M installment against a planned $10.0M equity investment. The company said the capital will help fuel growth and create increased demand for services provided by One Stop and other members of its specialty pharmacy group.
