IBBX
Rua Elizabete Armelin Rossi 69, Jardim Genova, Capivari, Sao Paulo, 13363212, Brazil
Overview
IBBX developed Aurea, an energy-harvesting technology that captures ambient low-frequency electromagnetic signals to power wireless sensors. Its "Plug, Play and Forget" concept enables sensors to operate without batteries by harvesting environmental electromagnetic energy and transmitting data long distances. The company uses a proprietary communication protocol and reports an Aurea range of up to 1,000 meters, targeting large, interference-prone industrial environments. Sensors send data to gateways which forward it to IBBX's cloud, avoiding periodic battery replacement and the cost/logistics of cabling. IBBX is led by cofounder and CEO Luís Fernando Destro and is based in Capivari, São Paulo. The startup recently received a US$3M investment from Indicator Capital to support scaling and broader deployment.
