Ibibo Group is India’s largest online travel group operating hotel and flight booking platform Goibibo.com as well as bus ticketing sites RedBus and YourBus. The company recently launched GoStays, a platform to help budget travelers find low-priced accommodations. Ibibo says it processed 6.5 million transactions from October to December 2015, including 1.6 million hotel rooms booked during that period, a 400% year-over-year increase. Traffic from mobile devices accounted for 71% of bookings in December 2015, up 42% from a year earlier. The new $250M funding will be spent on its hotels vertical and on technology. Ibibo is backed by Tencent and majority stakeholder Naspers Group.
