iCasting operates an online platform for the entertainment industry where clients and talent can find each other quickly, easily and for free. The platform serves the entire market from novices to experienced professionals, including actors, extras, models and dancers. CEO Esmée Pater said the company matches talent with clients not only by appearance but also by knowledge and specific skills. According to the company there are currently 900 client companies and over 30,000 entertainment professionals using the platform, and the service is presently free to use. With the new funding the company plans to further its growth, expanding within Europe and to the USA and adding new features to its online platform. The startup also says it plans to roll out different revenue models in the future.
